About
Swimmer Studio was created by Victoria Rickson in Brooklyn, NY and is now based in San Francisco, CA.
Victoria began working with ceramics and sculpture in 2013 while studying at Parsons School of Design. She has been working with colored clay and nerikomi techniques since 2019 and holds a BFA in Photography.
Recently, her ceramic work has focused on reimagining patterns and designs sourced from traditional crafts such as quilting and weaving. Originally learning to sew from her grandmother in Pennsylvania, she aims to honor the legacy of textile arts through a new medium, and give them a new life.

I ship using USPS priority mail and insure for the full price of the piece purchased, because, things happen!
I don’t have a preset international shipping option, but if you want to order, send me an email and we can discuss options! -
The process of nerikomi & handbuilding lends itself to the makers hand being visible in the work, and natural variations in pattern, color and texture.
Every piece I make gets tested and inspected, and if its listed online, I believe it to be perfectly imperfect. If its listed as a second I do my best to describe the reason its marked down - and I’m happy to share additional photos if needed.
If you do happen to discover a functional issue that I may have overlooked, or if you believe the item doesn’t match the description, please reach out so we can solve the problem!
Otherwise, I don’t accept returns due to on size, color or pattern, if the item was listed with all that information. -
I’m not currently taking custom orders for new shapes/sizes that don’t already exist in my work - that being said, if you see something that I currently make, that you want a slight modification on, or want to order sets, please email me and we can discuss:

I have previously sold wholesale - but I’m currently taking a break to focus on developing my work to the next phase. I plan to reopen wholesale in the future, but don’t currently have a date in mind.
